THE BIG BANG THEORY

SCIENCE:

If the universe is expanding as we know it, then if you turn back the clock, it will keep contracting until the universe was just a single point.
This point when it exploded (big bang), it split into numerous pieces. These pieces then formed all the stars, planets, etc. It is the idea that the universe began as just a single point, then expanded and stretched to grow as large as it is right now—and it is still stretching!

ISLAM:

The Qur’an mentions the start of the universe and it’s expansion in the mentioned verses years before science discovered so:
 

In Surah Al-Anbya, Verse 30:

[21:30] Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, and We clove them asunder?
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًۭا فَفَتَقْنَـٰهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَىٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

In Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 47:

[51:47] We built the universe with great might, and We are certainly expanding it.
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍۢ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
