OLIVE OIL

SCIENCE:

Olive Oil is rich in antioxidants, has strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, has anti-cancer effects, may fight Alzheimer’s Disease and rheumatoid arthritis.

ISLAM:

In the Qur’an, Surah At-Tin, Verse 1, Allah swears by the fig and by the olive. When Allah swears by something, the thing has magnificence and/or importance in it. In this case, the olive (and fig).

[95:1] By the fig and the olive
وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ

​

[24:35] Lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light.
يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍۢ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍۢ زَيْتُونَةٍۢ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍۢ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍۢ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌۭ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍۢ

The above verse implies that the olive tree is blessed and so is the oil.
