SCIENCE:

People have abandoned camels and other animals for traveling. Invention and emergence of new transport systems are ongoing as we witness new and faster modes of transportation emerging all the time.

ISLAM:

It is mentioned in Surah At-Takwir:

[81:4] And when full-term she-camels [Those ten months pregnant and nearing delivery.] are neglected.

وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ 

 

And in Surah An-Nahl:

[16:8]And [He created] the horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride and [as] adornment. And He creates that which you do not know.

وَٱلْخَيْلَ وَٱلْبِغَالَ وَٱلْحَمِيرَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَزِينَةًۭ ۚ وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
