GRAVITY

SCIENCE:

​Isaac Newton discovered gravity by observing the movements of celestial objects and wondering about the force that pulled them. According to a legend, he was inspired by seeing an apple fall from a tree. He realized that the same force that made the apple fall also kept the moon close to the earth. He then framed the gravitational law.

ISLAM:

However, the Qur’an mentions, in Surah Maryam, Verse 23, the power of gravity years before Newton discovered it.

[19:23] And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَـٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًۭا جَنِيًّۭا
