SCIENCE:

Today science says, that both the male fluid and the female fluid, are responsible for the birth of the baby; a minute quantity of mingled fluids.

ISLAM:

It is mentioned in Surah Al-Insan, Verse 2:

​

[76:2] Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture [i.e., a combination of the male and female substance, within the womb.[ that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.

إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍۢ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا
