SCIENCE:

Aloe Vera soothes wounds and heals wounds, treats burns, sunburns, insect bites, inflammation of the joints, constipation, is beneficial is cases of swelling in the eyelid, opens blockages in the liver, makes the skin bright, prevents wrinkles, lowers blood sugar levels and more.

ISLAM:

Multiple Ahadith state the usage of Aloe Vera in various problems.

According to a report from ‘Uthman Ibn ‘Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a man had a problem in his eyes when he was in Ihram and he said: “Apply aloe vera to them.” [Narrated by Muslim]

Nubaih Ibn Wahb reported that the eyes of Umar Ibn Ubaidullah bin Ma'mar were swollen, and he decided to use antimony. Aban bin 'Uthman forbade him to do so and commanded him to apply aloe on them, and reported on the authority of 'Uthman bin ‘Affan that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had done that. [Narrated by Muslim]

Al Hafiz Al-Dhahabi says concerning aloe vera, “It is beneficial in cases of swelling in the eye; it opens up blockages in the liver, and takes away jaundice. It is also beneficial in treating stomach ulcers if taken in powdered form.”
